Arkansas Optometric clinics receive $72,000 in
meaningful use incentives
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Jan 13, 2012 -- Four optometrists from two clinics in Arkansas has successfully attested for meaningful use and the practice has received $72,000 from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the maximum amount allowed for 2011.
Dr. Dale Morris and Dr. Martha Gore with Lifetime Vision Clinic in Forrest City, AR, along with Dr. Larry Adams and Dr. Judd Adams of Adams Eye Clinic in Morrilton, AR, announced receipt of government incentive funding for successfully demonstrating meaningful use with Meditab/SuiteMed IMS Ambulatory EHR (electronic health records), and the support and assistance of Doctors Office Systems.
Helping its customers through the registration and attestation process, Doctors Office Systems took both clinics step-by-step through the process leveraging the built-in Meditab/SuiteMed IMS meaningful use dashboard reporting tool which played an important role in becoming a meaningful user. The Meditab/SuiteMed IMS Dashboard allows physicians to review clinical data with graphs and charts to clearly identify core measures, quality measures, user adoption, and much more, in real time.
“IMS is one of the few systems that has been certified for 44 Clinical Quality Measures, the average EHR in the market offers a much smaller limited number”
“As an IMS Authorized Partner, Doctors Office Systems prides itself on the local, personal service we offer our clients in adopting technology,” said Doug Becker, CEO of Doctors Office Systems. “We’re diligent with all our customers ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and guidance to track information about patients on an ongoing basis, share that information, and monitor quality outcomes.”
Both clinics have been using the integrated Meditab/SuiteMed IMS solution for about a year, quickly adopted many features, such as e-prescribing, sending claims and statements electronically, including interfacing with eye examination devices and equipment.
In addition to optometry, Meditab/SuiteMed customers represent several specialties which have successfully attested to meaningful use, including cardiology, dermatology, family medicine, neurology, obstetrics & gynecology, ophthalmology, among others.
“Meditab/Suitemed is dedicated in providing an intelligent, integrated system, focused on improving the quality of care, reduce risk, cut costs, and increase revenues for any specialty,” said Mark Kozak, Vice President of Business Development of SuiteMed. “Meditab/SuiteMed IMS is one of the few systems that has been certified for 44 Clinical Quality Measures, the average EHR in the market offers a much smaller limited number, not giving the specialty as much flexibility to meet requirements. We are proud and excited for Lifetime Vision Clinic and Adams Eye Clinic for their successful attestation.”
